Broadcast the product evenly over a wide area in the deepest part of the pool. If any granules settle to the bottom of the pool, use a brush to disperse them. It is important to maintain proper water balance by keeping pH levels in the range of 7.2 to 7.6, total alkalinity in the range of 60 to 120 parts per million (ppm), and calcium hardness above 200 ppm. If you are opening your pool for the season, it is recommended that you shock treat your pool with this product first. Follow the directions on the package and allow 30 minutes for the product to disperse. Test free available chlorine residual with a pool test kit and repeat the treatment as needed. Throughout the pool season, it is important to maintain routine chlorination of your pool water. Adjust and maintain pH levels at 7.2 to 7.6 and check available chlorine with a suitable test kit. It is also recommended that you shock treat/superchlorinate your pool every 7 days, or as necessary to prevent pool problems, by adding one bag of this product per 10,000 gallons of water to provide 5 to 10 ppm available chlorine. The non-refillable container should not be reused or refilled. Rinse the empty container thoroughly with water to dissolve all material prior to disposal and offer for recycling if available. It is important not to contaminate food or feed by storage or disposal or cleaning of equipment.
